Pharmacology & Toxicology
Welcome to the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at NIPER, Raebareli. The Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology was established in 2012, with a vision to provide a State-of-Art facility to foster research and training. This department offers two year full-time M.S. (Pharm) program in Pharmacology and Toxicology. The Department comprises a dynamic group of faculty, researchers and technical staff from diverse backgrounds undertaking investigations to reveal biological mechanisms that will ultimately lead to discovery and development of new drugs and drug targets for a variety of human diseases. The Department and its Faculty has strong connections with other Departments.

Dr. Awanish Mishra
Research Interest :
The broad scope of interests ranges from the study of intermolecular reactions of chemical constituents of cells with drugs to the effects of drugs and established therapeutic agents on different neurological conditions (Epilepsy, Depression, Anxiety, Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease). Currently we are focusing to understand interaction of neuro-inflammation and progression of epilepsy and Alzheimer’s disease.
Dr. Saba Naqvi
Assistant Professor (Contract)
Research Interest :
To acquire knowledge for research and innovation in nanoscience; study and development of nanoscale materials for brain, cancer and lung diseases and their molecular interactions. Development of novel biodegradable, biocompatible polymeric and ceramic nanoparticles for targeted drug/new gene therapy strategies. Tissue engineering, Nanotoxicology and Environmental Nanotechnology.
